Born and raised in Brussels, Sarah Lauzemis currently lives in Barcelona. Since 2023, she is part of the organizing team of La Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master in Journalism from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Master in Creative Documentary from the UPF in Barcelona. Between 2010 and 2019, she worked for several music and art-related festivals in Brussels, Berlin and Montevideo. For 4 years, she was a board member of the International Cities of Advanced Sound network - ICAS - and was working for two European projects: ECAS - NetworkingTomorrow's Art for an Unknown Future (2010-2015) and SHAPE (from 2015) - Sound, Heteregenous Arts and Performance in Europe. In 2015, she co-founded the Schiev music festival in Brussels, where she was working until 2018. More recently in Barcelona, she performed a radio residency at Radio Paquita and is part of les Dones Sonores at La Bonne. Since 2020, she also works with Nicolas Boritch on the production of hybrid audiovisual artworks, bridging art and technology.
